About us

Iris Data Science is a leading artificial intelligence and machine learning company based in Dunedin New Zealand, that specialises in creating innovative products and services for the agricultural and horticultural sectors.

Our newest system, OmniEye, is a revolutionary automated on-farm livestock monitoring system that provides real time locomotion scores for your herd and allows powerful early detection of lameness or other animal traits and welfare issues. Our system collects tens of thousands of data points from every cow, every day, and turns it into actionable intelligence for farmers.

Also creators of the world’s first sheep facial recognition model SheepNN and of PastureNN, smart pasture monitoring which allows farmers to better know how to maximise their pasture use, Iris Data Science understand the needs of the agricultural industry.

Founded by experienced data scientist Benoit Auvray and technology manager Greg Peyroux, our team brings decades of experience in big data, machine learning and artificial intelligence across multiple sectors, including agriculture and human health, and can create bespoke packages for clients – or work with you to bring one of its core products behind your farmgate and beyond.

Iris Data Science will turn your data into optimal business outcomes by providing better insights to help businesses achieve exceptional results.
